OUR COMMITTEES
At Eagle 616 Lions Club, we live by the motto "Your Passion is Our Passion," which reflects our commitment to harnessing the enthusiasm and expertise of our community members to make a meaningful impact. We believe that everyone has unique talents and interests that can contribute to positive change. To facilitate this, we have established various committees focused on addressing the needs of vulnerable populations within our community, including but not limited to, children, veterans, and individuals facing mental health challenges.
Kids in Need
This partnership with West Ada Social Workers uses club funds to provide for the neediest children in the Eagle area. We also use funds to help support the Middleton Community School Coordinator to meet the needs of children in their community.
Mental Health
To raise mental health awareness of the various types of mental health problems affecting people in our community and to provide education opportunities for members of the community we live in, especially regarding Suicide Prevention & Education.
Blood Drive
Every 2 seconds, someone in the United States requires a blood transfusion, according to the American Red Cross. We aim to host a quarterly blood drive for the American Red Cross in Eagle.
Veterans
In honor of the men and women who have served, this committee supports activities that demonstrate our appreciation of that service, such as the Eagle High Veterans Program, our National Guard annual basic training, as well supporting the children of individuals in the VA hospital.
Eagle Rodeo
To volunteer for this unique community gathering, which donates a large portion of their proceeds every year to one of our local fire departments.
Teacher Grant
To support Teachers working within Eagle Schools both financially and with other resource needs via an application grant process.
Christmas/Thanksgiving
To support families in need within the Eagle community during the holiday season by means of food, shelter and gifts for children.
