ANGEL OF HOPE REMBRANCE PARK
A place of hope, healing, and remembrance for families who have lost a loved one too soon.
The Eagle 616 Lions are working to bring an Angel of Hope Statue and Remembrance Park to Eagle, Idaho, creating a peaceful space where families and the community can gather to reflect, honor, and remember those who have passed.
This memorial will serve as a lasting tribute and refuge for all who seek comfort and healing.
STORY OF THE ANGEL OF HOPE
In 1997, an Angel of Hope statue was erected in Angel Park in Elko, Nevada. The statue was funded by Gary and Linda D’Orazio and the community in memory of their son Mario, who passed away. The monument was dedicated to all families who have lost a child.
The inspiration for the Angel of Hope comes from the bestselling book “The Christmas Box” by Richard Paul Evans, a story centered on miracles, hope, and healing.
In the story, a grieving widow mourns the loss of her child at the base of an angel monument and discovers the precious gifts of life and love through unexpected friendships.
With the face of a child, upturned palms, and outstretched wings, the Angel of Hope offers solace to the grieving and stands as a symbol of hope and healing for parents and families who have experienced the loss of a loved one.
Today, there are more than 165 Angel of Hope statues across the United States, Canada, and Japan, each serving as a place of comfort and remembrance. We are excited to bring another to our Idaho community.
A MEMORIAL FOR OUR COMMUNITY
The Angel of Hope Remembrance Park in Eagle will honor those who were taken too soon and create a permanent space for reflection, healing, and remembrance.
The memorial will include:
